What you contribute

The function is organizationally part of the BU Specialties and reports to the Head of BU Specialties & NBD. Your main task is to maximize the profit contribution in the Business Unit Specialties by developing and implementing an effective sales strategy based on the product strategy of the plants and by maintaining strategic customer relationships by managing all sales offices.

 

  • You lead your international management team of the Head of Sales Offices (m/f/d) of our BU Sales Specialties, develop talents and create a high-performance, motivated environment.
  • You will be responsible for budget planning, including existing and future requirements.
  • Ensuring an efficient and effective information flow and coordination between Sales Offices and all relevant organizational units
  • You will prepare market and competition analyses as well as statistical evaluations to identify opportunities and risks and adapt the sales and business development strategy.
  • Your tasks will include increasing the efficiency of operational sales processes and structures as well as supporting processes and systems (especially CRM).
  • You define the sales-specific targets (sales and revenue planning), set the defined sales targets in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and in the 5YP and follow them up for effective management of all sales activities with a focus on continuous portfolio optimization in coordination with the P/P managers.
  • You take care of the strategic orientation of BU new customer acquisition/customer contacts and key accounts, participate in professional exchanges, trade fairs, conferences and other events as required and participate in competence networks.
  • Last but not least, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement and standardization of processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness, as well as ensuring the use and further development of suitable efficient systems.

 

Your Profile / Qualifications

    • You have a degree in economics with a focus on sales, finance or similar.
    • You have at least 10 years of relevant professional experience with 7 years of management experience and, if possible, experience abroad.
    • The development of holistic sales and business development strategies is no problem for you.
    • You have experience of working in international matrix organizations.
    • You have a proven track record in initiating and successfully managing complex change projects.
    • Your way of working is characterized by a strong analytical, strategic and process-oriented way of thinking, complemented by a pronounced structure.
    • Business fluent communication in English rounds off your profile. Other languages are an advantage.
