Are you interested in metal and eager to make a difference? As a Technical Customer Support specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing new product qualifications and implementations in alignment with our strategic goals. You will handle claims and complaints in close cooperation with our production departments and customers.
You will be responsible for your own customer accounts, and the ability to work independently is essential. We value curiosity and a willingness to learn about our products, as you will need to effectively communicate product requirements to our operations team.
In an international environment, excellent communication skills are essential. You must be adept at seamlessly navigating interactions with customers, leaders, and operators.
Area of responsibility
- Provide technical support and service to our customers in close cooperation with our sales offices
- Propose the right alloys and tempers based on material characteristics formulated by customers
- Support our sales offices with procuring products from us and customers
- Handle new product qualifications, claims and complaints in close cooperation with the production departments
- Follow up material testing, characterization of our products, documents, and present results thereof
- Some travel related to customer visits is required, primarily within Europe, but also worldwide
Qualifications
- Good communications skills
- A degree in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering is advantageous, but experience in the aluminum industry can compensate for the lack of formal education
- Experience in mechanical and metallographic testing is an advantage
- Fluent in English and willing to learn Norwegian, both spoken and written. Any additional language skills are advantageous
